There’s still so much to explore outdoors in winter! Gather with other nature-curious folks at Byrd Park for s’mores and then we’ll enjoy a playful, guided walk together.  We’re happy to be able to offer this event for free event, but registration is required.

There’s just something about fungi that fascinates us all! Whether you’re curious about mushrooms, captivated by lichens, or just love learning outdoors, this outing will help you get to know the often unexplored world beneath our feet (and on our trees, logs, and rocks!)

Whether you’re a seasoned sketcher or someone who “can’t draw,” but loves being outside, our Intro to Nature Journaling experience is for you! Come slow down, get curious, and see the landscape through a new lens. Everyone is welcome, regardless of art or nature experience. We’ll have all the materials you need, but feel free to bring your own supplies if you have them. This event is hosted in partnership with Quarry

Join EarthLab at Bryan Park for an interactive, hands-on exploration of the trees that make Central Virginia home! We’ll focus on helping you get to know local trees better. From identifying different species to learning about their importance in our ecosystem, this hands-on experience will deepen your connection to the natural world.
